Hosts: The Heart of Every Neighborhood Circle

Trusted Leaders Who Nurture Community

Hosts are trained community leaders who guide, support, and manage their local neighborhood circles

What is a Host?

Hosts are the trusted leaders of a neighborhood circle—each circle can have up to 3 hosts who share responsibilities. They're not just organizers—they're nurturers, guides, mediators, and champions for their community. Hosts ensure everyone feels included, requests are met, and the circle thrives.

Each host typically invests 10-15 hours per week and unlocks ORE through their coordination and support activities.

Host Responsibilities

Triage & Matching

Review incoming requests and offers. Verify high-trust requests. Ensure connections are appropriate and safe.

Facilitate Gatherings

Coordinate regular meetups. Create welcoming space. Guide discussions. Ensure everyone's voice is heard.

Member Support

Check in on struggling members. Connect people with shared resources and support from the circle. Make sure nobody falls through the cracks.

Grow the Circle

Onboard new members thoughtfully. Manage circle health metrics. Support participation. Build culture of giving and receiving.

How Hosts Are Recognized

Hosts receive fair recognition for their vital work

ORE Recognition

Hosts unlock ORE through their coordination work, recognizing the 10-15 hours/week commitment to supporting their circle

Community Impact

The more connections happen and the healthier the circle, the more value hosts create. ORE unlocked reflects the hours invested, not financial returns.

Recognition, Not Payment

Hosts are recognized through ORE for their crucial role in building thriving communities. Like all members, they contribute time and are recognized transparently.
